The discrete wavelet transform based iris recognition for eyes with non-cosmetic contact lens

Iris recognition has been used as one of the biometric systems for user authentication, identification, and verification quite some time. The basis an iris lies on matching algorithm, which requires similarities data in database with captured one. In addition, nowadays using non-cosmetic or prescribed contact lenses becomes more popular preferred choice many people, makes number lens wearers significantly increases. These eyes add complexity to process, since it can disturb process then affect performance system. This situation motivated this study propose system that works lenses. proposed wearing was developed circular hough transform (CHT) preprocessing phase localization discrete wavelet (DWT) feature extraction.
